VOLUNTEERS

We coordinate coverage of community activities and events by area volunteers for member governments and local schools. Crews of four to fourteen residents operate our production van whenever it rolls out to local events - from high school sports and concerts to community parades and festivals. Volunteers also tape every municipal government and school board meeting for cablecast. Information programs are recorded by volunteers -- from fire and police safety talks to recycling and environmental awareness; from tours of local senior centers to candidates and issues forum programs for upcoming elections. Waycross also has volunteer opportunities in non-production areas.

Interested in volunteering? Opportunities include:

  • Staffing a camera at a shoot – no training required
  • Announcing play-by-play sports events (Volleyball, Soccer)
  • Assist in telling the Waycross family story
  • Learning to produce your own show or help with someone else’s
